Anonymous asked: Hi, um, so I'm a 17 year old trans girl which means I was born in the wrong body at birth. But I've been accepted for hormone treatment and stuff since I was 15 so to the outside world I'm just another pretty girl, no signs indicating anything else. Here follows my question; I recently came to realize I tend to be interested in guys for love and in girls for friends with benefits & stuff like that. I'm pretty sure I'm bi. Should I come out? I mean wouldn't it be two strikes, trans AND bi?
First of all, congratulations for accepting yourself and going forward with treatment, it’s a difficult step many people are afraid to take! Secondly, don’t worry about what other people will think. If you think you truly are bi and can see yourself in relationships with men and women and want other people to know, then come out! You don’t have to come out though, keep that in mind. You can wait and see how things play out, or only tell a few people at first. It’s up to you!
