FuckYeah! Ask a Bi!

Anonymous asked: Hey guys! So after much thought, I have decided that I am a heteroromantic bisexual (I'm a girl). And I feel like a lot of queer people aren't okay with that because I don't really date women, and I'm not the kind of person to give away sex freely or have casual hookups, so it's unlikely that I'll even have sex with a woman. I still want to be active in the queer community, but I feel almost like I'm "too straight" for it. How can I explain to queer people that I'm just as queer as they are?

There is no such thing as too straight for the queer community. You can be involved regardless of your sexual orientation/label. And if someone has an issue with that, you should assume it has something to do with the way they were raised or their own insecurities. In other words, as long as you are doing what you think you should be doing, and being the best you that you can be, it doesn’t matter what others think or say.

Trust yourself, love yourself, and believe in love.
