Anonymous asked: Lately I've started to feel as if I like girls as well as boys. It's only been over the last few weeks but I want to share it with someone. I'm the sort of person that talks to others so I can get stuff straightened out in my mind but I'm scared to talk to my friends about it. I know they love me and that but I live in a town that is narrow minded and sees people who are bisexual as attention seeking. I don't want to start a label on myself either. Should I say anything to them and how, if I do?
Maybe you shouldn’t label yourself as bisexual. You could go for queer instead? Tell others about it when you are ready and prepared. First things first, you have to accept yourself as you are, love yourself, and trust yourself. As long as you’ve got that covered, you’ll be able to deal with what people may or may not say more easily.
Just trust your gut feelings about the situation. Choose a label that you like. And make decisions that feel right to you.
